Adekunle Gold, the acclaimed Nigerian artist, is known for his unique blend of highlife, pop, electronica, folk, and R&B. His breakthrough came with the release of his debut solo single, “Sade,” a captivating cover of One Direction’s “Story of My Life,” which quickly gained popularity in Lagos. The song, mixed by the talented Simi, earned him the Best Alternative Song award at Nigeria’s Headies in the following year.
